Audio-Technica ATH-AD900X

Released Apr 1, 2013

What's in the box

  • Detachable 1/4" (6.3 mm) adapter

The AD900X is a pair of polarizing headphones. Their thin mid and treble-focused sound will NOT be everyone’s cup of tea. The comfort is great but at the same time, you have to deal with the weird fit of the 3D-wings.
- Headphonesty

If we had to sum up the sound of these headphones in one word it would definitely be ‘airy’. There’s some roll-off in the mids and they’re a bit bright all things considered, so we wouldn’t recommend them for creating music, but they’re nothing less than excellent for listening to it.
- Earbuds Zone

I can’t promise you’ll love the ATH-AD900X, but I sure do. Unlike a lot of headphones—maybe most headphones—I never get tired of listening to it, and I never get uncomfortable wearing it.
