Sennheiser HD-25-1 II redesigned: the Amperior

| March 22, 2012 | 0 Comments

Sennheiser has taken a stab at redesigning their famed (in the headphone world) HD-25 DJ with the world traveler in mind.

The Sennheiser Amperior will sport an in-line mic along with an impedance drop from 70 to 18 so that most portable media players can drive them.

It has garnered favorable responses from CES attendees and will be interesting to see how the market responds (especially considering that there are no color options except blue. hmm).

They were reported to be released sometime in March, and well, March is almost over. Should be any day now.

Am I forgetting something? Oh yeah – the price tag: $350. Quite a bit more than the HD-25-1 II, but still considered a good value considering how well-rounded these headphones are. Not many other headphones get as good rep as these fellas… easy maintenance, solid construction, balanced sound, tried and true.
