V-Moda has come a long way over the past few years. Since its entrepreneurial beginnings in 2006 as the maker of a single fashion-minded earphone, the company has propelled itself into a well-respected brand among consumers and audiophiles alike.

Val Kolton, the owner/CEO of V-Moda (and also a DJ/producer), has been been the primary driver of the company’s success. He was recently interviewed by Profile Magazine where he discusses his story and vision. Read the full interview here.

V-Moda was founded on the premise that headphones should be a fashion statement, but that is not to downplay the audio quality which has been getting better and better with each new product. Customization and color options have been a staple of V-Moda headphones, something that most hi-fi brands don’t do enough of in my opinion.

V-Moda’s upcoming flagship headphone, the M-100, is currently up for pre-order.
