McIntosh Labs high-end MHA 100 headphone amplifier shipping in June
McIntosh Labs has been around since the 1940’s, but up until now their products have focused squarely on loudspeaker systems. With the new MHA 100 desktop DAC/Amp, the company is changing that. Carrying a similar aesthetic as their existing line of preamps and receivers, the MHA 100 is unmistakably a McIntosh product at first sight. And man, is it good looking.
Specs (from what we were able to gather):
- Inputs: Coax S/PDIF, Toslink, AES/EBU, asynchronous USB, 2 analog inputs (XLR and RCA)
- Outputs: 1/4″ headphone jack, speaker binding posts,pre-out for connecting a subwoofer.
- Supports up to 24-bit, 192 kHz audio
- User selective impedance ratings: 8-40 ohms, 40-150 ohms and 150-600 ohms ensures ability to drive virtually any headphone
- Five bass boost levels
- 50WPC power amp for desktop speaker support
- “DXC” analog crossfeed
