EarHero: the first non-isolating micro-IEM

| April 4, 2012 | 0 Comments

Up until now, IEMs have been synonymous with isolating but that could change if the EarHero Pro catches on.

Designed by audiologist Matt Murphy, these micro IEMs are designed to fit in your ear comfortably without blocking your ear canal. Similar to the bone conduction technology we touched on earlier, these could be great for running/biking without sacrificing your awareness to your surroundings. They are also so small that they won’t get in the way of hats or helmets.

Check out the videos below that demonstrate how they are used:

The earHero Pro is available for $149. Learn more and purchase at their official site.

I am curious to know how they sound… let us know in the comments if you have tried them!

Specs: Dimensions: 4.3 x 5.6 x 2.8 mm, Weight: <0.28g (without cable), Impedance: 15Ω, Sensitivity: 103dB, Total harmonic distortion: 10% max
