Beats by Dre release the MIXR, designed by David Guetta

Beats by Dr. Dre has just released their latest celebrity endorsed headphone: the MIXR by David Guetta. The man himself helped design the latest offering and it has an interesting swivel feature that is sure to gather some interest.

The Beats MIXR was designed first and foremost as a DJ headphone. Interestingly, the cups don’t tilt 180 degrees which is useful for DJs. It is much more portable than the Studios and Solos due to the swivel feature and detachable cables. They are also lighter in weight and are supposedly more comfortable.

The MIXRs come with a nice set of accessories to accompany the rather large investment: a straight cable, coiled cable, carrying case, and saving the best for last…. drum roll….. a cleaning cloth with Aegis Microbe Shield technology, whatever that is.

The MIXRs are priced at $249 (MSRP $279) and come in your choice of black or white, both with red accents. They are available now at your local Best Buy or you can preorder online.
